It’s the week you have all been waiting for! Monday kicked off National Library Week in honor of those institutions that have housed our collective knowledge (or access thereto) for centuries. Many information providers are offering free access to their wares in honor of this “heady” occasion: Proquest is offering access to three of it’s most popular databases here; Gale is offering free access to a nice variety of resources here; Greenwood has some Latin American information offerings here; and Alexander Press has some interesting Civil War resources here and Latino literature here. There is a broad variety of interesting info that normally would cost, so why not partake in a little knowledge. Oh, and don’t forget to hug your librarian this week!
